spring break in berlin? yes.

so i spent my spring break in berlin germany...pretty effing amazing.
my sister lives there and leads a perfect life.
i had the best week ever. i love it there.
these are some doodles i did while sitting in the park.
you should all visit berlin. it is beautiful.

oh what a beautiful morning!

i love my walk to school every day...especially when i have to open the service bureau because then the sun is just rising and my day starts off right. it is wonderful, the birds were chirping, it wasnt too cold, and i had to walk slow today because there were frozen puddles the whole 7 blocks...a downright enjoyable morning...if i do say so myself!

why i cant wait until summer

i was struck by a terrifying thought as i walked into school this morning at 8 am.
this is the last time i see the sun until tomorrow morning... that is something out of a horror movie, something bringing about thoughts of a post apocalyptic world, or one where we are all forced underground all day... no wonder art students have a depressing fascination with zombies.
i cannot wait until i can see the sun all day if i want to.

today is my birthday!
i am celebrating by posting this beaaaauuutiful self portrait on my lovely blog!
so far the presents i have gotten are:
a card form my sister in germany.
a card and check for $50 from my aunt (i love you aunt dee!).
dinner from hallie (so delish, thank you darling!)
a beer from kyle (as it is my 21st birthday).
and a kiss from adam.
i would say that is a good haul...in fact i am already content in the present department, so all i need now are hugs throughout the day!

might as well post again

well i am posting again...this is a strange new thing for me still.

i dont have class this afternoon because my pregnant professor is sick, so i get to do all my homework today so i dont have to do it all tomorrow on my birrrrrthday!

yeah tomorrow is my birthday! i turn 21...no worries i wont drink myself into a stupor...at least not til this weekend! 

anyway i am now going to go research some artists and illustrators for an upcoming project where i get to make an illustration in a way that is completely out of my comfort zone! scary but exciiiiting!

...so this is a blog...

so apparently the thing to do when you go to art school is create a blog...i feel very hip and with the times right now...and slightly like i am making a diary that everyone can read...interesting.

i always wish that people could read my mind anyway, so this is sort of like that i guess? haha

on a side note, since im spilling my thoughts to the internet world, bethy is a very happy girl right now....i dont know how in depth people get with their blogs, so i will just leave it at that, and if you know me at all you will be able to name the two reasons why i am ridiculously happy at this moment in time. 

well this seems like a good post on my blog...hahah the word blog makes me laugh....ok im done.
